Gilbert Brandt, coordinator for Older Adult Ministries

“Years ago, as an instructor at Bethany College, Hepburn, SK, I taught a course in educational psychology which included a study of the human life cycle. Little did I think then that the theory about older adults would become reality for me and in my ministry. However, in February, 2011 I became the Coordinator for the Older Adult Ministries. As a member of the Older Adults I am finding that the challenges I face are multiplied manifold within the Older Adults of our church.

As part of my recreational activities, I enjoy golfing with Susan, walking to Tims for coffee, writing prose and poetry, and reading. Our children and grandchildren provide many joys.

My varied work background has well prepared me for this present ministry. My past employment included book store management, marketing, teaching and publishing. This background helps me relate to our adults. Now to serve as coordinator for the older adult ministries gives me energy and joy."
