The program is for ages 3-5 in 2012. If your player is just out of that age range and wants to play, let me know and we’ll see what we can do. This age group is slightly younger than the typical outdoor mini program run by the clubs so our program emphasizes inclusiveness and fun (I know i already mentioned that, just want to make sure we are all on the same page). You can count on your player learning something about soccer, but we consider that a bonus.
Registration is first come, first in basis so get back to me soon if you want your little one to play with us. THERE ARE FAR MORE APPLICANTS THAN SPACES, SO BE SURE TO SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION EARLY IN THE REGISTRATION PERIOD TO ENSURE YOUR CHILD GETS IN!
We will be playing on WEDNESDAYS. There is no cost. We ask you to make sure your player has good non-marking runners and shorts or sweats. Shin pads are not mandatory, but are encouraged. You will be required to sign a waiver the first Wednesday.
We encourage you to make this a family event and watch your children play. We will be asking parents to take turns bringing healthy snacks for the group (I’ve got the first one covered), and would love your help in taking down the soccer boards or putting away some chairs/tables after each event. There is also a play room available for your really little ones to play in (lets just make sure the players get out of the room in time for their shift…too much fun going on in there!). If anyone is available to help setup, be at the church at 5pm.
We are going to run only one session per Wednesday and it will run from 6 – 7PM.
Thank you, and see you on the “field”!
