"My roots are deep here at River East MB — 20 years of growing and learning in this
role, together with great colleagues who live their lives with integrity, compassion
and humour. More than that, my family has been nourished, cared for, and affirmed
by many good people here at River East.
I grew up in Saskatchewan, where I graduated from Bethany Bible Institute and
Saskatoon Business College. Friends drew me studies at Mennonite Brethren Bible
College and the University of Winnipeg. My husband Wesley and I take delight in
our three young adult children — son Kinsey, married to Amanda, and son DeLayne.
More and more, it is Beauty that inspires me – God’s creation and God’s creative
spirit within me and those around me – exquisite musical harmonies, the delicate
form of a hummingbird, inner loveliness born of hard personal work, rich colors and
textures in my flower garden, a golden bread loaf from the oven, a nicely decorated
room, a well-penned book, a warm smile."
