What you can expect here at River East on Sunday mornings
River East is a diverse community, spanning five generations from many walks of life.
There’s no dress code at River East. Everyone is welcome to come as they are, be that a dress, a collared shirt, or acid-washed jeans.
We’re a musical bunch! We love to sing, and we worship God with a variety of songs from many different eras.
And finally, we are a community that is prays for one another. Every service we make room for anyone to share the triumphs and struggles of their lives… and we pray. The good and the bad, the joys and the sorrows; it’s all welcome at River East.
10AM – 11AM Worship Service
All are invited, including children! Infants and toddlers up to age 4 may also move to the main floor nursery for supervised care and play between 10am and 12:10pm.
11:25AM – 12:10 Noon Christian Education
Elementary (Kindergarten – Grade 6)
After the worship service, children meet downstairs in two classes, K-3 and 4-6. In this place for kids to call their own, we explore how to follow Jesus’ way through interactive bible stories, singing, talking to God, compassionate peace-making, service, and just plain fun… Contact: Mary Anne Isaak in the church office.
SM2 (youth grade 7 – 12)
Sunday Morning Student Ministry (SM2) is held downstairs in the multi-purpose room. We gather to hang out, discuss issues, and study Scripture together with peers. Contact: Aaron Thiessen:mailto:[email protected] or 204-663-5096.
Adults
Continue the conversation after worship through our adult education hour. We encourage you to connect with your church community, explore the Bible, ask challenging questions, and make connections between world events and our everyday life of faith. Adult education makes space for people to engage with the world and faith through small groups, Bible studies, guest speakers, and fellowship in the foyer. For more information or to get involved please contact Jon Isaak:mailto:[email protected] or Brian Loewen:mailto:[email protected].
